{A Quote to Inspire You} Elisabeth Elliot
I discovered this quote last year, and loved it so much that I put it on my refrigerator. It's been a wonderful encouragement to me as a mother, but it can certainly apply to any job that God places before us. I pray that it blesses you today.

:) I immediately linked it to being a mom too! I can see why you put it on your fridge. Some days we need that reminder:)
ReplyDeleteI agree, there are definitely those days when we need those reminders!
DeleteHi Michelle--I saw your name on someone else's blog and stopped over. :) I love that quote. I'm not a mom right now, but I have both a day job and a writing career in the works. And I think in both of them, I have to remind myself what I'm doing isn't about me--it's about God, where He's placed me, the call He's put on my heart and His faithfulness in the midst of it all. :) Thanks for the morning inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! Thanks so much for stopping by! It's good to see you here. : )
DeleteIt's so true, that it's all about him!
I love this quote. I wrote a blog post a few months ago about the importance of using our gifts and not envying the gifts that God has given to others. I have two year old twin boys (and two girls ages 6 & 8) and I've told myself many times in the past two years: God has given me every gift I need to accomplish this job of mothering - and to do it well. Some days it's easier to believe than others!
ReplyDeleteHi Gabrielle! That is so true -- God definitely does give us everything we need to accomplish our calling as mothers (or any job He puts before us). Having Him by our side is the safest and best way to go!
DeleteGood morning, dear Michelle! Wow, this quote certainly has blessed me today! Such a beautiful view of the work God has set before you. There is peace and strength in the truth of this quote. I'm gonna put this on my fridge, print it out for my room and share it with friends! I'm even gonna text it to my brother right now whose working with our dad today in an outdoor, physically demanding job. He wants to prayerfully, if it's the Lord's will, go into the ministry one day, as a pastor or maybe even missionary! But for now he is where God wants him and I think he will be blessed by this quote and find the truth and peace in it also :) Thank you so much for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You!
Amanda
Hello, Amanda! I'm so glad this has blessed you, and that you want to share it with others. I pray that it blesses your brother, as well, as he waits on the Lord to guide and direct him.
DeleteSweet Blessings, my friend!
