Music Monday (on a Friday!): {You Set Me Free} by Angela Miller
It's been a couple years since I've watched American Idol, but when this video showed up on my facebook newsfeed, I was awestruck! You Set Me Free is an original song by Angela Miller (aka Angie K. Miller), and she is a contestant on American Idol this season. She's a young Christian woman, who appears to have a very special anointing on her singing career. The vocals on this song are amazing, and the message is so powerful! I may be a bit late in posting this here, and you may have already seen this video, but just in case you haven't seen it, you're in for a real treat!
If you search her on youtube, you'll find that she has MANY other songs worth listening to. I predict big things for this young lady, and I pray that she stays humble and sings for the Lord to bring Him all the glory. From many of the comments I've read on youtube, she's already making a huge impact on people's lives. Needless to say, I'll be rooting for her! Shine your light, Angie!

THAT WAS AMAZING!!! I don't watch AI anymore either, kinda wishing I woulda! Hope she keeps that anointing b/c you can feel it - BEAUTIFUL! I'd definitely buy her album:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you liked it, Susan! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree completely! You can definitely feel the anointing! I can't listen to this without getting goosebumps and tears.
She also has partial hearing loss in both ears -- 40% in one ear and 20% in the other. Amazing!!
My daughter and I have been watching AI again this year and when Angie sang this song we looked at each other and said 'she's a christian!' We didn't know before that, but we could hear it in her music that night. I hope she wins! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, Cathy! You can definitely hear it in that song. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I LOVE this song! Makes me want to watch AI.
ReplyDeleteHi there, Casey! I've been catching little bits and pieces of the show, but I'm really tuning in for her performances. It's going to be fun to watch her journey on AI. :)
